About me

My name is Beki (she/her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. I  am the founder of Sacred Spiral Counseling, PLLC. I received my Master’s of Social Work from East Carolina University. I also have a Bachelor's of Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I provide teletherapy and am able to work with anyone who lives in NC. I have worked in mental health/social work for 13 years in a variety of settings. I love what I do. It is a privilege to support people who are navigating change in their lives and rewriting their stories. 

My approach is eclectic, collaborative and socially just. While I utilize a variety of approaches and theories, my primary approach is Person-Centered and Psychodynamic. I strongly believe that the relationship with your therapist is key to facilitating growth and change. Therapy is not “one size fits all” and I will cater my approach to your specific needs. I also use other theories/approaches such as CBT, transpersonal, trauma informed, mindfulness, Jungian, ACT (acceptance and Commitment), psychoanalytic, narrative, attachment based, system theory and relational to name a few. There are way too many theories and approaches to name here. Again, I use an eclectic approach depending on what your needs are. I also believe the healing journey is also a spiritual journey (whatever that may mean for you), therefore I support a holistic approach. I am passionate about supporting and advocating for people of all genders, races, sexuality and cultural backgrounds. My work is grounded in anti-oppression.
